8C max is now the normal for most of lowland S England, from Dec 10 to Feb 20. Then it's 1C rise every 10 days approximately until the zenith of 22C is reached in the second third of July. This then stays the same until August 20th, when the descent commences.

I used Alexa yesterday morning and gave us the wrong forecast!

Much the same here. The BBC forecast for here was for light cloud, a moderate breeze and dry. All wrong! It's been raining for most of the day, that soaking, cold drizzle stuff. No access to outdoor temps but certainly not the 11 degrees forecast and the wind has been fairly light.

Wind rising up here - can hear it at the roof as I write. 'A little breezy' was said on forecast. Stuff and nonsense. It's rowdy and strong.

5C here as I write, a roaring westerly, rodding it down with rain, grey horizon to horizon, fells disappearing.

A bright brisk day again, lovely in the sun but windproof clothing(especially a well wound scarf) definitely made my morning trip into town more comfortable. Appreciated the chance to blow away some of the gloom that events and weather had settled on me yesterday.

A rather uninspiring day today, by the looks of it.

As I write, a roaring westerly, seriously thrashing it down with rain. Fells gone.
                                Crikey!
