Look, I LOVE where I live no matter what the weather, BUT on a thread which hourly discusses and reports the amazing diversity of weather patterns in UK, and often relates them to the fairy stories broadcast by various Met services, it seems on;y fair to report.

Because of the odd geographical layout of the dale I live in and the influence of Morecambe Bay and Irish Sea hence Atlantic etc, the weather patterns here are or can be astonishingly variable and at variance with many official forecasts.

    Hence.........Apologies if it upsets.

    Try www.yr.no
That's what we use here as accurate, as do farmers etc up here out of desperate necessity - and its Norwegian!
So maybe you can understand my scepticism about BBC et al.

well unlike yesterdays morning boat which had to turn back from just outside Heysham, today's boat had a fast very calm crossing + the little fog encountered en route had lifted and we were able to fully appreciate the glory [hole] that is Heysham port - very thankful as I was on it!

        .

... Draco - I love your weather reports. The accounts of the tempests, the dreich, the fog, and the rest are a joy. And of course you live in a grand part of the country.

        I'm a big fan of yr.no too...

Wall to wall murkiness here, but quite mild.
          Could be worse.

And probably is in DracoM’s neck of the woods ......

More nothing weather so far today...plenty of mud to roll in, is the best we can say for it.

But I have seen violets and jonquils all over the City, and I understand change is on the way over the weekend.

Bright and sunny here again today.
Perhaps you should all move to York, and join the House of Lords.

Annoyingly, and somewhat alarmingly as buzzing sounds ensued, the new solar panels conked out yesterday. We're awaiting a visit from an engineer, scheduled for this morning.

No - cold, still, cloud, yes, but interesting, and maybe sun not too far away, one feels.

Yep - first daffs have also appeared in London.

I’ve seen the darts too. Ah well, I’m sure they’ll get killed off in the frosts.

                      Dull and dreary day today!

There'll be time for Cupid to get some more in before Valentine's Day I'm sure.
The daffs meanwhile will survive just fine...

                              Daffs of course!

Another dreary, cold day. Been rather monotonous lately!

4C, streaming rain, grey horizon to horizon.
Quite a prophetic way to start to a week that marks our exit from Europe - hence posting it on the 'Stormy Weather' thread?
