I’m not going to say what the weather is today, just in case it’s an illusion!

Frost, cloudless skies and a good cold.

Cloudless blue skies front and back here too.
A very welcome change from yesterday.

Sunshine, blue sky, remnants of frost in shaded parts when I went down the garden about 10 am, and a brisk breeze keeping the temperature down. So all in all, good stuff, and welcome after the grot of recent days.

The first frost of the year overnight in this bit of the Pennines - took three hours of sunshine to clear it. Bright and (at times painfully) sunny here - but very cold.

Proper football weather. Crisp , bright , cool.

I’m hoping that the Saints are too in a forum derby this afternoon .

Certainly crowded in town, and most of the serious scarf-wearers all headed one way..but I enjoyed the City of So’ton Orchestra’s children’s concert instead.

Heavy frost here too but now sunny. Trouble is at this time of year the sun shines straight through my listening room and on to my books and CDs meaning that the blind has to come down. It will have to be kept down until near sunset now as the sun wheels round, low in the sky.

First frost of the year here last night but a lovely sunny, clear blue sky here today - took a walk around the harbour at Porthleven this morning.

Same weather here - just right for the Sunday afternoon stroll I shall shortly take. But one thing I saw just before lunch astonished me. All north-facing roofs were still frost-covered, and continue to be. However, the south facing wall of the block here was literally covered with flies - mostly blue and green bottles - and as I stood staring in astonishment, a bumble bee buzzed past me! Standing near to the wall made it immediately understandable why these insects had "come out" - the temperature felt as warm as it would be on a warm late summer afternoon, and even the wall itself felt warm. Around the lawn a few daisies are flowering; the first snowdrops are out (a couple of weeks early, I'm told); and a couple of our hebes are in flower. I cannot remember ever seeing anything like this in the middle of January before.

                            Similar(ish) here.
                            Still bright blue unbroken skies.

Garden pond, in shade, at least now unfrozen!

Cold overnight with the cars well frosted in the morning and the birdbath at the bottom of the garden sporting a good thick lid. Glorious winter day - blue sky, sunshine, and little wind. I imagine there will have been many walks today and trips out to the coast.
