Ghastly day yesterday. Cleared up later though, for me to go out. Today more rain. As soon as we have milder weather comes, down comes the rain!

Today looks set to be light grey throughout the (very short) daylight hours, but mild temperatures of around 6 degrees - same for the Solstice tomorrow. And then, l praise be, we gradually start getting our light back.Numquam Satis!

Plenty of big puffy cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds around this afternoon - quite an unusual sight in December with cloud bases lower in winter than in summer, and lots of clag obstructing any view, so one does not tend to see storm clouds inland so clearly profiled until around March time. And so, the umbrella accompanies me on my afternoon 3 mile stroll today. Here we go!Last edited by Serial_Apologist; 20-12-19, 14:06.

More like an October day than the middle of December here, with temperature still 10C when I went out for a 3-mile stroll as the sun was going down. It looks as if the cold front which produced a number of thunderstorms over Wales and parts of the SW this morning is going to pass without any remaining weather on it, following which I expect skies and murky visibility to clear, possibly a slight frost, and a lovely sunny day tomorrow, which should be nice for a post-Xmas lunch cycle ride before it gets dark.
