Grey today and with a brisk east wind ('lazy' as it's known, in that it goes straight through you rather than round!) so the temperature is right down. On the plus side it's dry so further shed sorting has been possible - although not especially pleasurable with dripping nose, watering eyes and numb fingers causing irritation.

Hmm.Major shed sorting for me. When I looked out the 'music room' window this morning it was to find half the roof of one shed missing. Looks like several trips to the town waste disposal facility will be called for, and quite probably a new (bigger?) shed.

... you still have a window in your music room? Haven't you got enough CDs to cover all window space??

You'd think some people would find better things to do than steal this poor man's garden shed roof!

By the way, when I was working in Zurich in the late 1960s I discovered that many Swiss people crowded their living rooms with so many indoor plants that their window views were competely blocked.

Heavy cloud yesterday and yes, more rain later. I think more today.

Fine now so I'm risking it on a bike up to the Festival Hall for a lunchtime sesh by a young London band as part of the London Jazz Festival. I'll let you know!

Very significant temp increase up here. Walked for a good bit this p.m. without a HAT! And felt warm and exhilarated.
Yes, stuff on the way, but what a change from earlier in week.

Still dry here after a couple of early morning showers, so I made a good bet!

I just picked up a bright red knitted acrylic hat - cable stitch - on Brixton Market. £3, which is pretty good price-wise, if in all likelihood a product of sweated Chinese labour. The label on it just says "NEW KI.5". The black one I already had was just not visible enough for wearing on dark nights. At least the new one, being of acrylic, won't be of any interest to the clothes moths that frequent my flat, and go for anything made of wool. Incidentally, a knitted hat I saw a few months ago in a nice shop in W Dulwich was on offer for £25! Must have been made by a member of the Royal Household!

Princess Anne's spare time would be pricey, I imagine!

Looks like it’s going to be a dull rather uninspiring day, with rain and a light breeze.
