Loads more rain here, the wind has dropped a little but not a lot!

Easterly strengthened - blow, blow, thou winter wind, thou art not so unkind as man's ingratitude?

Sorry to have to report that the coming weekend looks just awful, wherever you are, with the Atlantic jet well to the south bringing deep primary lows right across the south and middle of the country, and the rest within their windy circulations. No chance whatever of long walks, let alone cycle trips!

Agreed. We have a busy weekend. So that’s not too bad.

Here we go for the weather. Hmmmm.....

Grey and wet, but apparently it should get a bit less so early afternoon so I'll plan to get out then for the walk into town for errands. I need to keep moving when conditions are like this as otherwise joints seize up,on top of being painful, and however yuk it is outside just getting out of the house improves the mental state.

Dank, damp, but notably less cold.

Indeed, I'm in much the same situation of just having to keep going, however painful the knees can be. Exercise does do some good, though I expect by my stage of life one has to be inured to certain aches and pains.

Now pretty well shut down here - dreech, fells white cloud / mist / rain down to ground level. Warmer but yukky too.

Expecting bluster and wuthering but we are reasonably sheltered in Southampton centre. Celebrations today at our co-op bookshop in Portswood: one year since their move to the old bank building and the Human Chain of booklovers.

Around my area too, it’s supposed going to get rather windy.

It's been bright, breezy and mild so far this morning but the blanketing murk is moving in rapidly from the west so before long it will probably get wet as forecast. The afternoon looks as if it might improve re the wetness so I might venture out then.

Dark and tipping it down most this morning - now the sun's come out and the rain has stopped.
