    Notice anything?

Manchester / Liverpool cluster? The Birmingham cluster? Glasgow cluster? All huge centres of population and literally never mentioned.

And also, Manchester, Liverpool. Glasgow are all WESTERN FACING from where most of our weather comes, and thus western areas for the most part get it first.

Pah! So no need to wonder why as a western living person I use www.yr.no which can be specifically centred on your own home area.
I guess Channel 4 gets its own back on the BBC, making amends for the abovementioned regions by often entirely excluding areas where presumably no weather whatever is to be expected in the concluding detailed summary, which more often that not means the SE, where we are given no idea of temperatures, cloud amounts or wind speeds!

Anyway, there's no weather today here - just brilliant sunshine once more, with temperatures a few degrees up on yesterday's, but a hint of breeze coming from the NW. Yesterday's history walk terminated with a mini measure of sweet sherry all round; I'm not expecting that today, following a guided trudge around the Clapham Estate!

Amazing - the difference a mere couple of hundred miles can meke! From here one would have no idea - just a harmless feather of cirrus on the distant horizon.

Yup looks like it - a band of blue is just appearing at the top of the regional weather map, and given the wind direction there is some chance it may do something useful. The forecast gives 90% chance midnight through to about 3am.
Today was pleasant - a fair bit of sun although the wind was chilly. It stayed dry for our event day which was good as there were a lot of nature related outdoor activities.

Blimey! - it actually reached 26C across large parts of the capital today! It certainly felt warm, but I didn't think that warm, as we ambled around the early Victorian side streets of Old Clapham this afternoon. My north wall-located max/min thermometer only got to 22C: probably not an accurate reading, now that the sun is lower and its heat doesn't reach around this side of the block. All the washing on the line dried, including a towelling bath robe/dressing gown, now smelling sweetily of Lenor!

Can’t remember what the temperature was yesterday, certainly quite hot! Today, cloudy with a gentle breeze, according to BBC Weather!

And most of this week everywhere, too, with the exception of the north of Scotland, of course!

Lovely cloudless sky, clear viz, gentle northerly breeze with a lovely fresh feel to the air.

Indeed, SA. Didn’t they have 60mph winds?

Looks like another fine day today. Went for a saunter in my motobility scooter with friends yesterday, certainly rather a nip in the air though, quite an autumnal feel.

Beautiful today wall to wall sunshine. Went for a nice run this morning, perfect weather for it.

Same here Draco! Another today. I hope the weather doesn’t turn sour in the last vestiges of the weekend, as we are away, till Monday.
