Today looks like being the last half decent day here for the foreseeable future. Low temperatures, wind and rain appear to be what we can expect for the rest of August. It's been a mediocre summer at best, and there's already an autumn feel in the air."The sound is the handwriting of the conductor" - Bernard Haitink

The probability of the rough weather expected this weekend kicking off this evening down here puts the kybosh on my attendance at a gig near Waterloo tonight I'd been looking forward to. On the one hand I don't wish to face heavy rain cycling home, and on the other I am becoming nervous about travelling by late night Tube these days.
