Can anyone offer something comparable to my situation as a guide before I waste my time in complaining?

As of now, blue sky with patchy clouds.

Just been thoroughly soaked by a long dreary cold downpour.

        Cheered up again now.

The weather forecast has changed quite significantly overnight. When I looked late evening this morning was going to be variations on wet, but at 7am today it was brilliant sunshine and blue sky(unsullied by contrails), although very blustery. At about 9 various types of cloud quickly built up and raced across, but they have lessened now and the forecast suggests the rain isn't likely until this afternoon. Excellent news as I have to go into town and didn't really want to be battling strong winds and rain.

Even for such a ripoff industry as this that seems a hell of a lot - over £2,000 a year when you're out all day ?? Something amiss, so check all the readings and indeed make sure you don't have some sort of leakage somewhere in the chain of either fuel.

Well, 'variations on wet' is a brilliant description of what we have up here!! No break, no let-up.

In my particular case, I had six lots of estimates in a row - sopmething I had thought was not allowed btw - but in November my estimated bill suggested far more use than was thel case, and I rang in with current actual readings. The lady on the other end said I would be receiving a revised bill to take account of this, which makes the hikes E.on are now threatening me with all the more unacceptable.

Very strong wind so easily got washing dry before rain arrived. Due to play tennis at 7pm. Forecast to be dry later and wind supposed to moderate by then but might still be a challenge. We can always adjourn for an early pint.

Blue sky, again. I wonder if it will stay like this,or turn as it did yesterday!

Keep your winter gear handy: real edge this a.m. up here and heading east.

Weather went as forecast yesterday and I got back home just before it really began to bite; very strong cold wind and rain that felt to be on the edge of being sleet - stinging as it hit the cheek. Today started bright with some frost in evidence on the car windscreens and has clouded over now but continues dry. The wind has moderated somewhat but remains cold. As is often the way keeping the wind out is the key to remaining warm enough when out and about.

..................and getting seriously nastier by the minute up here. Strong westerly with sleety rain etc on it.

Whereas down here ( ) the advancing cloud sheet from the approaching weather system came over earlier than I'd been expecting - the sun already reduced to a tiny blob at 12 noon - the altostratus is now thin enough to be breaking into altocumulus in a few places allowing faint shadows to re-appear, suggesting the system is weak at this end, and any rain should be pretty light.

Tomorrow looks back to moderate to fresh westerlies once again, meaning near-average temps and showers - the more the further north you happen to be - with no signs of any high pressure returning for the officially forseeable future, although some are betting on warmer, more settled conditions returning the week after next.
