No sign of the torrential downpour/thunderstorms predicted for today, so the garden will need watering again tonight.
Very pleasant when I was in the middle of York a while ago: treated myself to a two-scoop ice cream: cinnamon, and cookies and cream. As a resident we can get a loyalty card, with the tenth one free. Hurrah!
You'll have got through all the flavours by then.

Just had a home made, pressed apple juice lolly. Yum.

Absolutely scorchio here, too hot to work really, but business seems buoyant, so making hay etc......

Incidentally, other than those beginning with Q, words with uo in them seem a bit thin on the ground?

... not a totally vacuous question. Deciduously. Assiduous research required.

But have we got a quorum in favour of such research?

It is seven degrees too hot here and no one is answering e-mails - the local residents association, my third official genealogist and something about off-road biking to name but a few.

It makes some of the people who I met at the local fair before my trip to the lake on Saturday almost seem reasonably conversational - the bloke on the MS stand who told me that I should consider hiding my non-climbing clematis in a bush until later when he was out to nick it and almost did me out of my change - I took it to the elderly people's tent where there was utter confusion and it ended up embroiling my mother who was walking around separately but it was collected on Monday - and the parrot woman - "Of course, they are not looking for homes - what a preposterous suggestion". "Why are they here then - to raise money for them generally?" "No, my dear, to enhance their profile". "Seriously?" "You silly man!". The event was saved by my half hour chat to Ken, 91, at the RAF tent who had volumes of photographs going back to 1929. Nice guy - but he never did say if it was noisy here in the war.

            Back of the Q, Lat.......

The internet has probably overheated. Lets just sit back and wait for more UO words from unambiguous sources.

Have we had fatuous? Or indeed slimuous?

I've been trying to think of examples, but found the exercise too strenuous.

If we keep this up, we can come up with alternative lyrics to a G&S patter song.

But don't let that put anybody off.

                        Seems my comment/question was superfluous.

                            - isn't it odd that a "chance" can be either "fat" or "slim" and still mean the same thing.
