Thanks for that SA. Do your u think there’ll be a call for drought policies to be brought in. Not much rain lately? Another fine day today.

I 've no idea - have you heard something Bbm? If as a consequence of climate change we are now to have blocking patterns as a regular part of our weather, so long as they're equally distributed between dry and wet blocks we should be all right, although this will probably mean longer wet and dry spells from now on.

Distinctly fresh today. The sun didn't make much of an appearance and the NW wind was decidedly brisk, so temperatures struggled to get into double figures. On the plus side it stayed dry.

Wish I had checked the wind direction in London today. Whichever it was, it seems to funnel off the Thames, across the south bank, through the arches, and straight into the entrance to Waterloo!
Anyway, after the initial coatless shock, by the time I actually got to the river it was quite warm, sunny and pleasant, and by tea time back home it was positively lovely.

          More please.

We had a long weekend in Edinburgh - decent weather with some sun but a bitter wind.

It came from the north northwest, teamy, and probably got funnelled between those tall office buildings between the station and the South Bank. It's one of London's windiest locations, as well I know from cycling around there.

                A rather uninspiring day today!

But make the most of it being warm because it turns much colder again on Saturday and Sunday, by the looks of it!

The season of mists and mellow whatsit has definitely arrived in this part of Suffolk this morning - grey and gloomy with visibility down to 30 yards or so.

There was a bit of fog yesterday, it completely different today, lovely sun!

Thanks for sending it this way, Bbm. Next week promises to warm up in the south, at any rate, but today looks to be the final day when we can experience July temperature maxima. I'm going to make the most of it this afternoon.

Sunny and warm today so making the most of it as Saturday does indeed look distinctly yuk. Doing the errands will not be a leisurely progress round town with frequent stops to chat, they will be postponed!

What you might call a yukky day today!
