Listening to cricket commentaries on and off much of the day and am amazed at high summer conditions elsewhere eg Derby.
Today oop 'ere has been simply awful - thickening mist, unrelenting rain, dropping temps, fells just up behind the house now completely invisible. And NOT warm. Same forecast by yr.no for tomorrow.

Usually "proper" summer temperatures, the sort where going about in T-shirt and shorts is the norm, only get going for the nine to ten weeks making up July and August, leaving one with an impression of a season gone before one has had the opportunity fully to take it in and make the most of it, and kicking oneself!
You appear to be suggesting that if I am going to walk to the zoo before the school holidays it needs to be tomorrow and probably in considerable heat. How blimmin' annoying.

Very nice sunny morning here at home to start the day."The sound is the handwriting of the conductor" - Bernard Haitink

Grey and intermittently drizzly this morning here in this bit of the Pennines, with a Met Office "Yellow Warning" of rain between Thursday and Friday in the general area (although not much forecast for this specific bit of that "general area" ).Numquam Satis!
