    Oxford.

Isn't that the place where you can now be defined as a racist on the basis of looking at someone in a particular way or not looking at someone at all?

Might be safer to stick with television.

Putting such issues aside, and also whether former tennis players could be similarly described, it looks as though the OC is also going to be streamed.

Perhaps threads like these help to test what American style abomination could or could not be included with support in a British election manifesto?

I have just bought the Radio Times to get a grip on what's being broadcast on Radio 3, Particularly Hear and Now and I gave the chap in the newsagents a fiver and he have me three very foreign looking coins back as change, two of which resembled thrupenny bits (the old coins, not rhyming slang). I was gobsmacked - £2.50 for the Radio Times!! That's fifty-bob in English.

Mind you, I haven't bought it in a while. I was going to take £2 with me (the shops just 'round the corner) but couldn't immediately see any coins lying around, so I took the smallest note possible - good job I did!

I haven't opened it yet. I'm going to make a cup of coffee and sit down and have a read.

If you plan to purchase it regularly, a subscription could save you quite a lot of money. £2.50pw + extra for the "bumper" Christmas issue comes to at least £130 whereas I pay around £40 per six months and it's delivered every Tuesday in the mail.

"£2.50" is English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish rather than English tout court whereas "fifty bob" is slang for what once was ditto! Nothing exclusively "English" about either!

Indeed so but it still seems not yet to be available 12 days after the event.

If you begrudge the £2.50 and Andrew's online listings for R3 aren't enough for your purpose, why don't you just consult the online Radio Times?
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

you could almost pay for a licence with the £2.50 a week......

Certainly worth it this week for Howard Goodall on "Sgt Pepper" and Lucy Worsley on Jane Austen

Andrew's listings are of course excellent (and I had no idea about that online Radio Times (muchas gracias)) - but I thought the magazine would have more detail. I may as well have thrown my £2.50 in the mud.

As far as the details are concerned, I thnk all the details are there (if you hover over links). Even some of the articles too.

I meant I thought the paper magazine would have more details. I did hover over the sections on the on-line mag, and as you say, it's all there.
