Has anyone else noticed warning messages re logging in using the latest Firefox?

I've been getting warning messages about logging in to this site from Firefox.

    See https://support.mozilla.org/1/firefo...ecure-password

I don't get these with other browsers, but that doesn't mean necessarily that they are more secure. Is this a problem we should be aware or, or one which (somehow) needs fixing?

Yes. This is because the FOR3 forum site is http, not https. I am not particularly worried in regard to this particular password.

Sounds as though we should use significantly different individual passwords for each web site. Some people use the same or similar passwords for each site.

Have you got the latest versions of Firefox? I'm on 52.0.2. I think the last couple of updates have done the check on login security.

This page shows that Firefox has been giving warnings since version 51 - https://blog.mozilla.org/security/20...n-secure-http/

Presumably this is so that end users like us can nag the developers/owners/providers of sites to provide better locked down security.

Users of browsers which don't check this feature will not know about the potential problem.

Since writing the last post about 15 minutes ago, my Firefox has now updated to version 53.

I probably don't get warnings because I stay logged in all the time.

I'm not sure quite what the problem is suppoesd to be.

As alluded to above (#3) some people may use a password for non-secure sites (e.g. FOR3 forums) that they also use for other (secure) purposes.
