It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

There is nil need for it - the leasing of fields has always worked perfectly well .

I hadn't realised that Aldeburgh Music and Snape Maltings were now one and the same organisation: so RW now heads Snape Maltings and the master plan is to be revealed next month

One of their new master plans was not to send out Snape Proms mailings to anyone but Friends - very annoying to miss Renee Fleming singing the Four Last Songs as now sold out .

That can't be right. I'm only on the Advance Booking List and I got my brochure in time.

I tried booking the concert on the first day for advanced bookings but all tickets had already been sold. More irritating than disappointing.

Friends get advance information and two weeks' priority booking so …

A lot of organisations do this, or something similar - seems reasonable to me.

Although I am sorry you did not get any tickets as someone on the advance booking list who did not get a brochure that is a slight comfort .
