They aren't proper city anymore, just an Arab franchise,a state owned club who aren't interested in competing fairly but just want to buy up anything and everything regardless of the impact and any financial rules.
Buying and bringing through kids who have no chance of a career at city just so other big clubs can’t have them.

Spot on Edge, and nice to see you around again...!

But talk about a game of fine margins. The GLTech showed our first half chance failed to cross the line by 11.7mm...Sané's winner was beautifully struck after a flowing move, but the margin by which it went in, rather than coming back off the far post, was probably not much greater.

As for Aguero's goal.... a truly wonderful strike which I could only, if glumly, admire.

City finished better, and Guardiola's defensive tactics were near-perfect. With Fernandinho back in, they seemed almost impenetrable. Every game is indeed a cup final now...every point counts in large amounts, as Depêche Mode almost sang...

I had a look on teletext about 20 mins in and it was still 0-0 and I found myself wondering if we were in for a shock result - the only shock was that you didn't write 14(fourteen) - 1, Rob. We're on winter break up here...at least the Buddies didn't lose today. I mean I'm sure the winter break is a good idea but it doesn't half leave you confused on a Saturday, especially after the last couple of weeks.

As far as I'm aware, nobody has described Accrington Stanley's defeat of Ipswich Town as a giant-killing … more a case of putting-a-bunch-of-dwarves-out-of-their-misery. At least they can now concentrate on developing their plans for League 1 next season.

After a few tighter results they are back to trending towards 250 goals against for the season, and in all probability negative points.

I hope Ipswich can stay up, but big clubs do tend to escape L1 pretty quickly. Relegation from the Championship isn’t quite the financial disaster that relegation from the PL is.

Palace contrived to have 33 shots against 10-man Grimsby and scrape a winning goal in the 86th minute.

While it would be churlish to deny FA Cup 'giant-killers' their moment of glory, isn't it the case that Premier League and Championship teams often rest many of their 'stars' for this competition? I read, for example, that Sheffield United made 10 changes from last week's starting XI and that Cardiff also fielded a team from which many of their top players were missing - at least to start with.
I gather that one of the big stories from the 3rd round is that a substituted Manchester United went and sat in the wrong seat and was asked to move.

I didn’t see that! How that escaped me, I don’t know, asi have been very pleased to see this great team back in the
                                league.

                                Accrington Stanley 1 0 Ipswich
