Owls 1 Yorkshire’s 2nd City 1. Would have been good to win but I think represents progress for our hard work and development. The result was it appears from a pair of cracking goals either side of half-time, and adds to the tightness of the top half of the championship.

        Championship division, next season?

On another note, although Seagulls lost 2-0, it wasn't a kick in he teeth for us though.

Fine performance against a team on form, BBM...and they're waiting for DeBruyne to come back too. Anyway, as for the Buddies, another Saturday, another null point.

Because of othe commitments, I drove past Wolverhampton yesterday, and on to Cheshire.

Stopping at the rather lovely Moseley Old Hall on the way, rather than Molineux, was a very good decision.

Still. Roll on next week and, oh, Chelsea. My day for the tickets too.
            Great.

Careful now. Leeds is the 2nd largest city in the UK (after Birmingham).

According to stats that I was looking at, it's not even the biggest city in Yorkshire, Eine, (Sheffield apparently) unless you join it with Bradford which takes it 4th behind that there London, Brum, and Madchester.

Saints were at Goodison for cup tie of some sort tonight.
Never an easy place to go. Well, not for us at any rate.
anyway, after the traditional wasting of a lead,we managed to show a bit of composure from the spot kicks in a penalty shoot out, and actually won.
Hurrah. On to Leicester for a re match with Monsieur Puel.

I doubt you wold ever get Leeds and Bradford to agree to join!

                              Like that Alison.

Simce Sky can’t be bothered to cover the european super money cup, I’ve neen watching some Championship football on the SKy red button, where you get the whole game, one camera angle no replays.
Tonight , Bristol City drawing 0-0 at Rotherham, a game which barely had a chance of any note, at least the large sections I saw. Should have opted for Owls, V WBA, with its “ bit of a shocker “ ending for our Board S Yorkshire team . Bad luck Cloughie.

Surprised to hear how big Sheffield is now. I do hope they are not encroaching on the Peak District. I have no inclination to visit any Yorkshire grounds other than the ones I ever went to which were Bootham Crescent (York as my second team), Hillsborough (I like Sheff Wed), Hull (who are ok) when they were at Boothferry Park and Middlesbrough (who I don't like at all) when they were at Ayresome Park. Leeds, though, are a dilemma in terms of any tacit backing because at least with Bielsa there is a bit of romance which is unusual these days.
