That clarifies that - thank you zola.

      It's just about to start.

No point in going for any obvious sort of prediction.

There are too many of those.

      01 Man Utd
      02 Wolves
      03 Arsenal
      04 Fulham
      05 Liverpool
      06 Man City
      07 Brighton
      08 West Ham
      09 Tottenham
      10 Everton
      11 Huddersfield
      12 Chelsea
      13 Leicester
      14 Burnley
      15 Southampton
      16 Newcastle
      17 Cardiff
      18 Crystal Palace
      19 Bournemouth
      20 Watford

So, anyhow, my main fantasy football team starts like this:

        Begovic
        Coleman, Laporte, Shaw
        Salah, Sessegnon, Jota, Mane
        Aguero, Ings, Firmino

Subs - Boruc, Neves, Jonny, Tomkins

I have been a member of an England, Arsenal and comedy league for several years but I am now also a member of the surprisingly short list that is Talksport Extra Time League - several presenters including the refined and erudite Sam Stevens and Olly plus a dozen or so listeners. I also tried the draft league but it seems daft to me and far too luck based.

And the second one which you are not supposed to have is:

        Begovic
        Darmian, Stones, Davies
        Salah, Sessegnon, Bernardo Silva, Jahanbakhsh
        Lacazette, Tosun, Firmino

Subs - Boruc, Sema, Tomkins, Bellerin

You know when you get distracted, forget there is a game on, and wander off to do the washing up with some Stevie Wonder on ? and then remember you were watching a game ?

Ooh, ooh. Man Utd victory;on their way to winning the Premier League. Can't say I am keen on the idea or the new Mourinho but there are counselling issues there - I am not saying substances exactly as in exactly - which will emerge and which he will address before Christmas, following which they will win it. Ultimate drama. Although he poked that bloke's eye, he does a lot for charidee. He's a mixed bag - I am completely genuine about this - some of the things he has been saying are right. I'vs studied him. It can't be for or against - it's both.

Let's hear it for Brechin City, who've just secured their first victory in 470 days!

                Hangers 0 EbbSomething 1
                Newcastle 1 Spurs 2

It's been a long hard season

The Toon hit the woodwork and the class barrier but at least we have staff discount in House of Fraser ....

Looking forward to more reports from the North East, hopefully things will go from bad to less bad.

Saints sitting pretty in mid table this morning.

Things slightly better for me this week, anton. A point for the Owls which with better taget practice could have been 3 and a couple of draws for Truro. LMcD maybe a win but Brechin is still not a city!

Glad to get the game at Ibrox out of the way - 2-0 down and then Rangers got a man sent off all before half time, but Buddies still couldn't get on the score sheet. C'est la Gerr!

Keep beating the Dundees of this world , and you will be fine, JC.

Floodlights on throughout the game at SMS today, but the first half was a distinctly gloomy affair, Saints looking well behind Burnley in their preparation.

The second half we were much better and fashioned a reasonable number of chances. The new recruits look up to the standard, but we will miss Tadic’s touch of genius. On the plus side though, Ings looked very much the part with vision, skill, and pace during his 30 minute run out.He could just be the striker we have needed to replace Pelle. Klopp said some very complimentary things about him during his time at Anfield, and it is easy to see why. Keep him fit, and he will be a hige boost.

Early season form is never totally reliable but of clubs promoted to the Prem in 2017 and 2018 only Wolves got a point, and that was against 10 man Everton. I suspect that come May more than one will be counting their parachute payments!
