Tried three different beers in the second half/ET, all to no avail.

Thing that finally did for us

1. Not enough truly world class players.
2 . A basically inexperienced defence with one player learning a new role.
3. A team reliant on energy needs to manage that energy, and score while it holds out. We didnt.
4. Not streetwise enough.

Kane, wonderful player though he is, doesnt have that moment of genius in him, which I think may stop him from ever getting to the Real Madrid kind of level. I would love to be wrong about this.

If we had really gone for it , and had the legs, we could have won this in the second half. But the tank was empty.

Seriously, that's one of the things that makes football the most amazing human invention - it's the greatest leveller. Anyone can be undone by anyone. The two standout players in tonight's game were Trippier and Modric - two guys who are short but superior to any of the other athletes out there, imho.
