Really sad about Hartlepool's demise. They used to hang around the foot of the old English fourth division in the 60s when I was a teen and I always listened for their result on the teleprinter or in the classified reports. They were a team I always hoped would win, though they seldom did. Yet they always seemed to come back for another season - great survivors - what's not to like. Very sorry, AG, that the great survivors have slipped out of sight for the time being.

Poor Hartlepool and AG. Looked in on the final stages on Sky, what a fabulous atmospheric ground. A shame the old re election process is not in place, there'd be no more popular club.
Great to see the Buddies safe after a working season. Same for Leicester City!
I'm about to study the Championship table to see what's at stake today.

Sam has to sort that for next season, as indeed does the Southampton manager.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Over the season we've beaten Huddersfield twice and Reading beaten us twice, but I find it weird that those two sides have only scraped positive goal differences. I won't make any predictions but I am feeling positive but aware that anything can happen.

Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts.
Like JC I remember the sixties and our Chairman the cherubic Mr. Ord (?) setting off around the other chairmen to plead for their votes as we finished yet again in the bottom, was it, 4???
He always succeeded but as an honest monkey hanger the way we have gone is fairer and at least we showed a bit of fight at the end.
The beauty of the unrivalled FOR3 results service is I will never miss a point, even in a lesser place, thanks as always Rob and indeed everyone .....

As a discussion point, of Uniteds 12 (?) recent PL winning seasons, they conceded more than 40 goals on three occasions.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
