        A particularly good summary Rob.

        Some concern for Buddies.

        Frustrating Stockport.

Any idea where Hereford go now league wise ?

The way I understand it is they will now be in the Southern League Premier Division Alison.
This is one division below the Conference north and south leagues that Stockport and Chelmsford are currently in.
If John is looking in I wonder if he knows the ins and outs of Highland and Lowland league promotion and relegation play offs and such ?

Great news for Truro City avoiding relegation. Depending on how it all shakes down we could have Owls v Fulham Pts 1, 2 and 3. If so let's hope it's reasons to be cheerful!

Totally Robbed! Referee needs to take a good hard look at himself.

Anyway elsewhere the bottom League Two team enters into a play-off against the winner of a play-off between the winners of the Highland and Lowland Leagues. If the Highland or Lowland team wins the final, they are promoted to League Two, with the team finishing 10th being relegated to either the Highland or Lowland league. At present, I believe Buckie Thistle from the Moray Coast are Champions of the Highland League and will play off against East Kilbride from the Lowland League, home and away, for the right to play Cowdenbeath, Clyde or Berwick from League 2(still a couple of games to go there) for the place in the League 2. The Million pound game it ain't. Cowdenbeath are bottom at the moment. Clyde signed on David Goodwillie who has a rape claim against him and he has been scoring goals for fun in this league and looks like taking them to safety...much coverage in the press as you'd imagine.

It's not going well for the Hangers is it - don't panic anton, but has Jonesy got a plan? Two tough matches left - Cheltenham away and Donny at home, a fellow struggler and possible Champions!

                              The Tessitura of Football Fans

I watched both FA Cup semi-finals this weekend, and took note of the massive numbers of second tenors among supporters.

Yesterday, Tottenham supporters were singing When the Saints Go Marching In in the key of B major, comfortably achieving high F sharps again and again. Furthermore, there was no drop in pitch at any stage of the match.

Today, as Manchester City lost to Arsenal (having had a perfectly good goal disallowed) the singing was again in B major.

My point is this. Were one to suggest to any one of these supporters that they could sing in a choir, it would seem likely that a negative response would be received, perhaps with the excuse "I'm tone deaf".

These fans are very far from the mythological "tone deaf".

Thanks to ER for the fantastic round up.
Terrific win for Palace today, they always had enough firepower to give themselves a decent chance of safety.

Things look very grim for the Hangers, I'm afraid. Fingers crossed for a miracle for AG. But it's all over for the O's. Very sad to see them fall out of the league, with tough financial battles ahead. Always enjoyed my trips there, especially the one in our L1 promotion year.

Re EA's post, that's very interesting. I remember there was a section in a big selling football book , ( might have been The Football Tribe" by Desmond Morris) in which there was discussion of what the author said was the extraordinary levels of synchronisation of clapping on football terraces.

Of course what he should also have mentioned is that tottenham should really get their own songs....... ..it's bad enough them nicking all our second best players......

Edit: And talking of Liverpool, I'm assuming that JLW is fully in favour in mufc winning the Europa league?.............
