Tough times for Rovers fans ..and the fixtures look quite tough. Still, there is hope. The Spirit of Eastville is needed. Used to enjoy trips there. Nowhere else like it.

Anybody’s guess what our team will be like next season. It is a club in turmoil. At least the financial side should be ok with a luck, but at least three of our better players will have to be sold I should think. And hopefully some of the several duds…..

hopefully a decent results or two to come.
Very respectable indeed, sainty. Nothing much to play for except annoy the opposition fans. Buddies are sixth but 9 points off fifth. But we can leave the rest fight off demotion.

Great result for anton's other team. Man U looked pretty pants, but you can only stuff who's put up against you. Joe looking good in the highlights, I thought.

My friendly contact at a Dundee based printing company is a huge Arbroath fan, and is, rightly , a very happy Lichtie right now, if that is the correct terminology.
apparently they have a few young Buddies players on loan, who have done them proud.
as the Lichties are part time, and will be again in the Championship, they borrow these players more or less for free , but they train with the main club, and just do a couple of training sessions and play matches for Arbroath.

Known as 'The Red Lichties' because of the red light that shone to guide boats into the harbour, ts. Great to see their turnaround this season. I had a wonderful work colleague, sadly no longer around, who was a big fan, so I always like to keep abreast of their exploits. A trip to Gayfield requires a few layers, even in the warmest days...only ground colder that I've ever been in is New Bayview in Methil, home of East Fife...perishing...and that's just the footie. Glad to hear the Buddies are doing their bit...probably get paid in Smokies. ?

                What else ?
Do you remember an episode of Football Focus when Arbroath must have had a game against one of the big teams, and the preview mostly consisted of the reporter wandering round the smokeries cadging free smokies ? Classic stuff.

                Love me a smokie......

                  Me too, ts.
I believe the Lichties still hold the record of the biggest ever win, 36-0 against Bon Accord back in the 1880s in the Scottish Cup.
