Always a divisive character, he did , I think have a sense of how football finances were going to change and called at one point for a creation of a two division Premier League,to even out TV money. This would have been influenced of course by fear of the relegation which finally happened in 2005.
The other plus on his CV was the badly needed building of the stadium at a bargain price , albeit after a worse scheme that he was keen on fell through .The stadium and the small amount owing on it was a key factor in the Liebher takeover, which was in the main a big success, and saved us from possible liquidation .
Another predictable defeat today, in a forum derby against mediocre opposition. Juric has done nothing to suggest that he is an upgrade on Martin. We are an utter shambles.

Strange scenario whereby Crystal Palace have taken a mid-season break to Marbella. Thanks to missing a fixture due to Newcastle's Carabao Cup Final tomorrow they found themselves with a three week gap before their FA Cup quarter-final with Fulham. Also gives Mateta a bit longer to recover from having his head kicked by Millwall's goalie.
