The Buddies need Hotshot Hamish in their starting line-up. Wonder if they can sign him before the window shuts?

As a Palace fan I can't resist chipping in with a comment on our latest win against Man U. Each victory against them, especially a clean sheet at Old Trafford, helps a little bit to mitigate the pain of our two Wembley Cup Final defeats.

Great to see them returning to something like the form that they finished last season in, gurney. Couldn't help be amused that Man U have played 24 games in the league this season and have failed to score in the first half eighteen times. Wouldn't have happened in the Lawman's days.

Yes, a complete shambles at Goodison after the stirring win at Spurs had given back some belief. One theory is that it became evident to Ruud last week that nothing would be doing in the transfer window and his disappointment transmitted to the players.

In any event the outlook seems dismal and it’s surprising we’re not completely adrift.

Who knew Vikingur Olafsson was a Newcastle fan?

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Sorry you got done at Old Trafford by a goal where even I could see the scorer was a mile offside, Alison. Where's blinkin' VAR when you need it? Concentrate on the league, I suppose.
