Two legs good for the semi ?

Saints again tried to make it interesting by giving a better side a two goal start, and it almost worked, as we fought back decently, scored a good goal, and then got totally done over by an appalling refereeing decision in stoppage time, which should have given us at the very least a free kick on the edge of the box, and a red card for the Liverpool player, which probably wouldn't have mattered . But a gross injustice was done.
Hey ho, spirits are a small fraction higher than they were. But the choice of manager is dominating all of our news, of course. Rohl looks to be out of the running.

I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

Too good for the Saints! More likely don’t like Chansiri’s compensation ransom! Just hoping the new manager will not want Shea back!

Another six-pointer for the Buddies as they head up to Dingers to take on Ross County in the teeth of the gale. Hoping Santa is a Sainty today.

                Owls 2 Potters 0

amazing result after our best defender was sent off at 39 mins at 0-0. A battling performance and Beadle’s brilliant keeping (inc a penalty save) and the ‘never do it the easy way’ style we are now 9th and 3 points off the playoffs and 72 points to battle for between now and May..
I see the Buddies didn’t travel in vain jc.
A forum derby elsewhere today - tears for one and mirth elsewhere!

...and the Buddies survived most of the second half with ten men and then scored a late winner in Dingers: Staggies 1 Buddies 2. Still sixth but a wee gap...mind you, we've had so many red cards I don't know who'll still be around for the next game v Rangers.

My days of doing that are long past, unfortunately, anton. I do recall taking my new Christmas footie boots to Love Street one year, to everyone's amusement.

Thirteen clear of the relegation zone and only two off the play-offs - hope vertigo isn't setting in anton.
I'm fair missing Rob's comments, given Stockport's elevated position; and the trials of Pep and the citeh multi-millionaires. One of our shared former 'stars', Big Jim Goodwin, also saw his Dunders Utd take a point from high-flying Celtic yesterday.

I really would like one of the (relatively) poorer or less fashionable clubs - clearly not the TBs, well not this time - win the Premier League. Just imagine - Brighton and Bournemouth vying for the title on the last day of the season!

Saints messed up again today, although in more entertaining fashion than usual. Only have themselves to blame for failing to get something out of the game.
                              Sigh.

Hope you are all having a happy footballing Xmas.

At least they're not losing yet.
