Congrats, cloughie. Buddies had a good 3-1 win in Dunders today. Comfortably fifth for the moment.

Well THAT was a long hard season, but great way to finish it .
Birmingham must be regretting their managerial shenanigans. Classic lesson in knowing when you are well off.
Saints decided to try a new formation today, which seems to be working for now. Tense times ahead……

I think there’s a bond amongst the 3 sides promoted from L1 last season and TB’s promotion plus Owls’ and Pilgrims’ survival spells success.

ts - all the best in the tough lottery.

So Foxes had to end with a blip but thanks for your congratulations up thread. Thoroughly deserved promotion for Tractor Boys while Wednesday’s recovery will have delighted most neutrals. Delighted for Cloughers.

With Leeds surely shell shocked there can be every hope for the Saints I feel.

…and Leeds’ record in playoffs is not good!

That was a right pasting gurney's Eagles handed out to the team formerly known as the Red Devils last night. Amazing end of season for Palace.

Palace in total dominance. A pity they've left it too late to overtake Brighton. I only saw the last 10 minutes on the pub TV when some of us ended up there after Choral Soc. Also installed there was a chap from our tennis club who is a Man U fan, so I was able to indulge in some mild gloating.

Not a goal to be seen in todays two playoff matches in the Championship.
not a bad game at altitude and in the West Midlands heat ( sort of a low key Mexico ‘70 ) but hardly exhilarating stuff. Our manager will likely be happy enough with a draw having Adams out with a dirty leeds induced injury. Shoud be a lively night at sea level on Friday.
Got my ticket, scarf and rattle at the ready !!

I nipped into the pub for a quick pint on my way home last night. I found myself standing next to a couple of Dundee Utd fans at the bar. I couldn't help overhear their conversation as one of the guys seemed quite upset. His mate asked him what was wrong.
'Susan has left me,' he said. 'She says I love United more than her!' 'That's a shock', his mate replied. 'How long have you guys been together?'
                            'Seven seasons!' he replied.
                            ?

That reminds me of the joke about the 'football widow' who finally plucked up sufficient courage to accuse her husband of loving Liverpool more than he loved her, only to be told that he even loved Everton more than he loved her.
