Sorry Cloughers. The gulf in player quality is huge, added to which Russell Martin has us playing great football. It was a spirited contest, with Wednesday causing the odd problem and defending resolutely, but an excellent save from the free kick at 2-0 was probably the moment that sealed it.

Buddies huffed and puffed but it took them a while to blow the door down yesterday, not helped by some dodgy refereeing decisions - VAR was suspended for the day in the Cup. Anyway, we're in the hat for the last 16 so hope we manage a favourable home draw is all I can say. Southern Saints marching on, I notice, and welcome wee win for Hartlepool. But the Eagles took a bit of a battering against Arsenal - I assume wee Roy's coat is on the proverbial shoogly peg at the moment.
