Relentless pressure from the Foxes and ITFC.They have both been exceptional so far.
last season with this points total we would have been behind the leaders on goal difference only. Points records look likely to be broken this season.
Realistically, we have 2 seasons to get back up before the money really runs out , and we will have to sell for more than we buy before then. We need to keep building so that we are ready to hit the ground running next season if it doesn’t go our way this year.
interestingly ( well to at least Alison and me) we have to travel to all the other current top 5 yet. That looks tough, but who knows ? In our last promotion year Reading came to SMS and won, which ultimately gave them the title by a point.
As to today, another game not put to bed, and the consensus seems to be that a draw was fair enough. We certainly need to score a few more.

Back to winning ways for the Buddies after a few bumps on the road. Essentially, apart from the top two, every team is capable of beating any other one on their day. Fortunately we managed a couple yesterday after a goal-free spell. Back up to third, on top of the also-rans and fifteen clear of the trapdoor.

The perennial PL problem. Realistically the bottom dozen are only one bad move away from a very difficult season. All circling the plughole, sometimes further away , sometimes nearer. It is one tough league.
Forest are also underperforming. I fancied Bompey to have a good season after some decent recruitment and a brave managerial change , but after a very mediocre start they are putting it together nicely .
