New season, sainty, and Buddies kicked off with a defeat by the mighty Montrose in the Deep-Fried Mars Bar Cup. Dodgy late win against the Blue Brazil midweek and now we face the mighty Forfar on Saturday for the right to top the group. New season, same old doubts.

As one Saints fan commented , “ at least we can’t get relegated from pre season.”

not much optimism around the place, the defence still leaks soft goals, we aren’t looking too efficient at finishing , and the big name players will leave.
a point and a half per game by the end of September would be a very decent haul ,I think,

Well ts our preseason has been dominated by the change of manager and a rather late hunt to fill the gaping gaps in the squad and our new manager turning around our style of play so next Friday's match with your lot will be interesting but somewhat unpredictable.

Unfortunately, anton, rather than going to watch the Buddies ten miles away, and enjoying the delights of a Forfar Bridie in the process, yesterday's match was down in Paisley - straightforward 4-0 win, top the group and on to the next stage of the competition when the big boys come in - otherwise, no idea what happens next, but we're still in it, for the moment. League starts next weekend with a trepidaceous trip to Easter Road on Sunday. ?
