    Thanks jc and ts.

So pleased about the 123 min goal - did not fancy penalties.

Good to be promoted and the bonus of some forum derbies next season. Saints and Foxes - sorry about relegations - can you do a Burnley?

I broke my duck yesterday, cloughie, as the only place I could hear the game was Talksport radio, the home of Carling Lager. Absolutely appalling commentary with two useless 'expert' summarisers. Hope I don't have to do that again in a hurry. While not wishing to put a damper on things, I heard that Baggie, Adrian Chiles, say to a Luton fan yesterday: 'Enjoy yourself today because it'll only get harder from here!' Mid-table mediocrity is not to be sniffed at, I say.

Very disappointed that Stockport County missed promotion by a single penalty.

Don't know, cloughie, but Malky Mackay could have been on the phone to the Owls' maestro at half time in the second leg. The Staggies were two-nil down to the Jaggies after the first leg of the Premier play-off, and then went another goal down just before the interval in the 2nd leg. They looked down and out - but Partick clearly saw the finishing line too early. Ross County got themselves back in to the game with a couple of goals in a minute and scored late on to take the game to ET. No goals but loads of chances in the thirty minutes and then Malky's Ross County took the shoot-out to preserve their place in the Premier division and send Thistle back south tae think again. Quite a comeback - it'll take a while for the Thistle fans to get over this.

Very interesting that attendances at certail Championship and League One clubs have exceede prem teams this season - in particlarcthe 3 team superleague from League One - not mentioned are Derby and Bolton, who also though not promoted also had big crowds in League One.

Why do I mention this - because the national press and BBCare out of step with the interest in the game below Prem level. I’m sure that those supporters of this season’s falling giants will notice this come August!

Sorry to see the death announced of Buddy legend, Gordon McQueen, who went on to play for the Uniteds of Leeds and Manchester. He also had 30 caps for the National team. His death resulted from vascular dementia, and of course he was renowned as a great header of the ball. He was a great storyteller and people I know who knew him said he was a wonderful character.

Scotland staged a very late recovery yesterday evening in Oslo to overtake Haaland's pen, with two goals in the final three minutes. Three wins out of three...Georgia next...another of our many bogey teams.

Steve Clarke's waterpolo eleven managed to splash-splosh their way to another three points v Georgia, at a rain-delayed drenched Hampden Park last night. Goal machine Scott McTominay scored another. He may not be flavour of the month at Old Trafford, but he's doing a fine job for the Scots.
