Pretty much all aspects covered at SMS today. Four first half injury substitutions, including both of Saints CBs, which left us one regular CB short.
Saints played decently first half, without creating too much and mostly kept Spurs at arms length, until an unbelievable( even by our standards) defensive shambles let them in for a ht lead.

Saints responded well with a good early SH goal, but were undone letting Kane in for a header from a cross that really should have been dealt with. We looked to be finished with their third, but Saints showed good spirit and some class in getting pulling one back, and the late, rather soft pen was fair reward for a mostly good performance. As much for the feelgood factor as for the point, it may yet be a jumpoff point for a late revival. Not holding my breath for that, but all of a sudden the Palace game looks as though it might be significant.

Disappointing, Alison...drops us out of the top-six and other results did not go in our favour. We need a few points away from home. Next up is Livi on April 1st - must be some kind of international break coming up though cannae see many of our mob in demand for that.

Palace remove the ageing Roy Hodgson to employ Patrick Vieira, then sack Vieira to re-employ the slightly more ageing Hodgson. Many fans are baffled and I think I would have stuck with PV but the septuagenarian Croydonian has Eagles in his blood and seems up for the challenge. It will be interesting to see whether the appointment is folly or genius.
