Mrs M & I were dumbstruck watching the VAR Horrorshow aka MOTD last night, but our mute disbelief turned to astonishment when a caption reading "Geordie bore" flashed onto the lower left of the screen during Alan Shearer's post-Toon/Cherries analysis (1'24'40" on I-Player -- we had to check ). No Twitter handle, so what the heck ??

Something similar happened once before on MOTD I recall, Supermac.

TBF, Shearer is a hopeless pundit. Adds nothing of value ( a non licence payer writes…)

As for VAR, how wrong can you be ? I was always in favour. I mean, other sports manage to make it work…

Cracking result for Saint Mirren yesterday continuing the good home form. Up to fifth after the dominant one-nil triumph over the Staggies. Still can't help looking over the shoulder.
Great win for the Southern Sainties yesterday.
