Saturday afternoon at SMS for me today.
The usual patchy effort by our lads, but we were at least rewarded with a competitive game, and two excellent goals. Perraud’s free kick was a thunderbolt effort

A glance through the results, and I noticed that the Paisley Saints did very nicely.

I was saved from this one by the SFC website no longer letting me log on, and not even the courtesy of a reply from the ticket office email.

....What's the idea behind Sean Dyche appointment....I don't immediately see Sean as a manager with that saving from relegation touch....can it be they expect to go down and he is a fairly good bet for re-promotion ( or a man with great vision for this failing club i.e Everton wouldn't want Burnley model no matter that it was a win win for Burnley)....get rid of Gordon before Seans appointment....immediately in for Gallagher {like for like ish}...

....Bielsa would surely have been a daft fit....

WEll....agreed, but............and that massive re-build project in the all-too near future?
Gone, alas, are the days of Everton as a club playing elegant - but not OTT - footie seems over. PL is a hard, dangerously anti-charm bull-fight if you want / need to stay up.

our tactic of allowing them early commanding lead and then catching them dozing complacently in the second half didn't really work terribly well, in retrospect.

Something like that - last game we lost was to TS’s lot on penalties.There are still 18 potential bubble bursters to play - but I’m definitely of a glass half full persuasion but then I’m on a Dry January extension so maybe it is a several bottles persuasion!

Big win, esp with Ipswich stumbling again.
We’ll likely be playing you in the league next season. It seems to be unravelling quickly at SMS. Still time to save ourselves, but it is pretty difficult to see how, unless we get a settled defence and the new players turn out to be a good bit better than the existing squad.
The fans have got the towels ready for throwing in.
