Yippee! Some very fine goalkeeping from your guy between the sticks, anton...and perhaps the worst on-target penalty I ever remember seeing.
For the first time since I was 10, I reckon, I am completely unexcited about a World Cup starting this weekend.
Can't decide whether to boycott it or not. But like you, I'm very unexcited about it, and that seems to be the prevailing mood. A lot of serious fans are saying they won't watch.
I can't blame them.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
Just found out that the Buddies have their first ever player to be called up for a world cup team - Keanu Baccus makes history having been called up by the Aussies and has defied the Paisley boycott of Qatar. Come on you Kangaroos.
World cup 2022…where the principles are more hotly debated than the VAR calls.
I think the lesson is, ( and happy to be put right) that we should remember that our beliefs and opinions are just that…and subject to change.
The wisdom of Solomon isn’t granted to many of us, but we can try to be consistent ( if sometimes failing) and true to ourselves, even when it is tough.
Anyway, good start for our English boys, and I do like their shirts.

This is so frustrating. While I would dearly like to boycott this World Cup in Qatar, I can't really do so. How could I boycott something I would not bother with anyway?
It would have been better if the armbands had not been an issue, and could have been used.
. Or even better , if the FA and others had dealt with it as a matter of principle.

yellow card there, sainty!
I watched a bit of Holland/ Senegal this afternoon - it felt like there were no fans there - and I was subjected to Ally 'there's no doubt about that' McCoist. Switched over to the Repair Shop instead - there's something wrong here! But no doubt about it, it's an absolute fact that I'll probably maybe come back for some more.
They may well go on to get thrashed - it was the first word that came to mind, and I'll leave it there - in both remaining matches, but in my book they are the winners and the team of 2022.
....Magire especially but also Stones have misunderstood the Germans action of putting their hands across their eyes while standing for photo's....they have continued their Nations League actions of wearing blinkers and only passing backwards [slowly oh so slowly]to each other while standing still....so we can now expect a Jordan Henderson substitution so we can have a trio....
....my commentary and opposite rebuttal of any positive criticism of our brave English boys is available on Radio Negative....my Podcast is called "I'll not av em called good"....
....but having said that 'Hair Products' have passed their tests yet again....
