Very good performances from two of your southern saints on Wednesday evening against Armenia, saint...both Armstrong and Adams were in very fine form on the evening. Hope for a good performance by the Scots v the Republic in Dublin this weekend.

Very sorry to note the death of Andy Goram, former Hibs, Rangers and Scotland goalie. He was a great figure of fun, and sometimes controversy, in Scottish football. Born in Bury to a Scottish Dad, he started his playing career with Oldham before heading north. He was also capped for Scotland at cricket. He was only 58.

I was at SMS to see The Lionesses take on NI.

The stadium was at fever pitch from half an hour before the game and never let up. Two England strikes put tye game well beyond the Irish just before HT.
Enjoyed seeing our best players live, and they look to have the class to make a serious challenge for the trophy Russo’s second goal was extremely classy.

England’s Lionesses are so good that I don’t miss men’s football at all. Their speed and tactics are in the same league as a Pep-managed team.
