Saints feeble conclusion to the season wrapped up in appropriate fashion against Alison’s lot.
I sense a summer of considerable upheaval at SMS, and it needs to be well managed, because we are only heading one way.
However, happier news from our Women’s team, who are promoted to the Championship after winning a playoff against Wolves.
TBH, the champions from each of the southern and northern sections should be promoted, a playoff defeat after winning your league must be very hard to take.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

What an amazing final PL day it was, on so many layers. I almost felt sorry for Liverpool supporters, who must’ve thought they had the trophy in the bag, before Manchester City scored those quick 3 goals.
I was disappointed that Burnley were relegated.
Manchester Utd qualifying for the Europa League was a strange turn of events, despite having had a very poor season by their standards.
And the late tussle for the Golden Boot…

Good win for Palace v Man U. No doubt it was pleasing for Zaha to score the winner against the team that rejected him.
Annoying to let a 2-0 lead slip against Everton. Those three points would have given us a top half finish on goal difference. Their first positive GD Premier league finish.
Satisfactory along the way to take four points off eventual League champions.

Big game at Hampden this evening where Scotland take on Ukraine in the World Cup Qualifying semi. I imagine that only us Scots (and Putin's pals) want us to win...I reckon the rest of the world is hoping for a result for the Ukrainians...including former captain, Souness, I notice. The prize is a game against Wales this Sunday, for the last World Cup spot in Qatar. We've got a few injuries, but hopefully we can progress to Cardiff.
