Missed penalty and a rare goalie error - however I think we could be doing more to make our own luck - I guess anton you and I were less happy with just a point than jc’s with the late equaliser.
jc - I’m not sure about the accuracy of the 0-0 for your chosen cup match as the 6-0 and 1-10 in other matches were showing 0-0 HT. Methinks it’s down to the less than minimal reporting of these minnow teams.

RIP the great and indefatigably cheerful man!
BBC Sport looks back at some great goals from Jimmy Greaves' career and highlights the statistics that made him a footballing legend.

Almost as good at TV as he was in the box....

Well Mario, did you ever see a finale like that?

Note to managers: don't send on an, er, "penalty specialist" in the 94th....
Noble took the perfect penalty... for a goalkeeper - nice height, not too near the corner....

"A lot to talk about after the break"......you bet!

Joins his mate, Saint, jayne. Life with those two around was a delight. What laughs they gave us. Greavsie was almost as cheeky on the ball as he was on the box. Great man!

                Seagulls 2 Foxes 1

                Congratulations BBM.

Improved second half showing from the away side but stuttering start to season continues and Maddison needs to be dropped.

Yes Jayne, as I said in 6506, it really is hard work following Man Utd. And we do it all over again on Wed!

The calculated risk which failed miserably. I can see why Moyes gave it to Noble in view of his previous great penalty record and De Gea's poor record of saving them. It all adds to the excitement!

I might ask Moyes about it if I see him today. On the other hand probably best not to.

Hi Stanfordian, if this is true, then I’d like to ask DM a few myself, such as why did he take Steve Round with him from Everton, against Fergie’s advice, a defender with Derby, before retiring after 9 (that’s NINE) appearances, to help with the backroom staff at Man Utd? I believe he remains unemployed today.

A bit like asking me to perform brain surgery, no?

Tell me a club that it is not hard work to follow other than for the occasional golden season!

Can’t think of too many occasions when Liverpool fans would consider it hard work to follow their team…

                          Or Chelsea fans…

                          Or Man City fans… (recently)

But yes, I do feel sorry for those Arsenal fans... not.

                            Liverpool last season?

                            Man City season before?

Chelsea fans seem to have mixed seasons even with their Russian sugar daddy!

…and that’s just Prem teams usually in the top for - add to that supporters of the teams in the rest of the seven or more tiers of the football pyramid and feel their pain!

Oh dear. This is going downhill fast.

Of course, there are innumerable occasions when fans will be disappointed with results from their teams.

My 6506 referred to the euphoria of the arrival of Ronaldo.

My 6518 referred to the awful embarrassment of Ole’s management style against Young Boys (and even last year against Besektihar when the whole team was considered an assist to Demba Ba’s goal, running FROM HIS OWN HALF)!

Offhand, I cannot think of similar embarrassing moments for any other top team, whose fans have to put up with all the flak from opposing fans, as we, now regularly, have to do.

                              Can you?

Don’t get paranoid - human error will always ensure you won’t win every match and most sides really don’t want to get beaten.
