After beating Hereford away 4 - 1 yesterday, that's now three wins on the bounce for AFC Fylde to go joint top.

Tomorrow is a full fixture list for the Vanarama National League North teams.

Fylde are at home to Southport tomorrow a game I'm looking forward to. There might even be some good weather.

I did not get the impression that today's score-free ninety minutes in the All Saints Derby was due to stalwart defence, but more due to crappy attack - it's goals that count...at least Buddies managed to nick a point...2nd from bottom, but nowt in it down there.

Indeed - he will be well known by Darren Moore and may be the key to unlocking the final third - we’ve had a pretty good start to the season but
now the occasional goalfest would be good.

Not an important competition in the scale of things but a great ‘run out’ for our new players assisting the gel!

Easy 4-0 for a polished England tonight...some nice strikes.... serve the Hungarians right with all that stupid bigoted booing....
Cup and bottle throwing..?..Oh for God's sake...

It got a whole lot worse....but our wonderful England team are heroes of human rights once again!
England condemn as "completely unacceptable" the racist abuse directed towards their players during Thursday's 4-0 win over Hungary in Budapest.

So near yet so far for the beleaguered Hangers this week.

You may think that’s bad but without kicking a ball the Owls dropped below Accrington - If memory serves at the time Stanley fell out of the league in 1962 Wednesday were in what is now the Champions League zone of the top flight - the ups and downs of 59 years!
So the odd late defeat is a mere hiccup!

After a couple of weeks of international action during which we amassed a mighty 6 out of 9, it's back to the main action today as the Buddies as they take on Dunders United in Paisley - hope our forwards have had some target practice during the intervening break. Good fortune be upon the Forum teams today.

                                Erm…

I’m not sure if I should announce this, but here goes.

My wife and I couldn’t attend this afternoon's match due to a wedding invitation of a close relative first organised months ago (how was I supposed to know CR7 would be returning?).

We have been made all sorts of offers for the tickets (prime seats behind the goal facing the Stretford End) and we have now sold both tickets and managed to secure a price of £2,400… each. The successful buyers are flying in from Vietnam.

Since I first became a Man Utd supporter when living in London when through my 15-year-old boy’s eyes I was stunned by THAT goal from Bobby Charlton against Mexico in the ’66 World Cup, I have never ceased to be surprised by the astonishing pulling power of that Old Trafford stadium. Even when travelling anywhere, always, always, Man Utd supporters everywhere.

I suppose some comments will be made about “capitalism running riot”, but really, what I do with the money is irrelevant now, since ‘er indoors has already mentally spent it. ☹
