    Dogged defence in action.
Ferguslie Star were denied a goal in unusual fashion as a dog intervened to made a last-ditch goalline save in their game against Vale of Leven

Interesting viewpoint which I didn’t know about and would like someone more knowledgeable than me to confirm – Ronaldo to United selling many shirts won’t help United, as Adidas own the shirt as sponsors, so profits from replica kit sales will go to Adidas/Nike/Puma, not the club, hence the reason why sponsors pay so much to have their name on the strips. Is this true?

Not sure about shirts, but 29 in 33 for Juve last season might have been more important....

Not to be today - lots of shots but none going in, except one at the wrong end.

They said there’d be days like this!

Terribly frustrating afternoon - yes, 10-man Chelsea defended well, but their timewasting, roughhousing and playacting towards the end were dreadful to watch. Even Azpilicueta, a player I usually admire, fell over in a penalty area melée, clutching his face having not been touched....

                  Norwich 1 Leicester 2

Foxes still edgy and rely on disallowed equaliser but ship steadied after West Ham bashing.

holding on to a lead at home not Toon forte.

Hanging onto a lead anywhere not Saints forte. Just thankful we didn't have to; obviously why Djenepo passed up a sitter, to mention only one instance.

Understandable frustration, but that was Chelsea's plan, which worked to perfection. Klopp seemed to have no complaints about their about tactics and found the second half "exciting". Timewasting is surely par for the course down to 10 men away against a top team. Roughhousing ... or dogged commitment in desperate, unremitting rearguard skirmishes? Playacting yes, but this untypical act from the "usually admirable" Azpilicueta betokens the captain's win-at-all-costs attitude in this key match.

Palace score a goal! Conor Gallagher's second was a beauty with goal of month potential. After lack-lustre first half, an impressive comeback draw away against league-leading, in-form Hammers. Might have won it at the end.

Yes, I too saw the incident when Azpilicueta fell over as if he had been punched in the face. Sadly Jayne, all teams are doing the theatrics.
