I'm working up a modicum of enthusiasm for this event. The Denmark - Russia match was in the end thrilling. I remember being glued to following Denmark in 1992 when for some reasons I can't fully remember I spent a lot of time following matches in a local pub.

Scotland - Croatia - somewhat disappointing - a solid team beaten by one with more determination and I assume with (next to no knowledge on my part) better skills.
Marshall did well with a couple of saves and some brave moves - without which the score would have been biased further towards Croatia.

Gripping evening ahead, where any of the Group-of-Death could finish in the top three..... I hope Hungary finish second! But more likely Portugal or Germany, and then......I bet there's some drama ahead.

Hope Slovakia make it out the somewhat Group-of-Ennui Group E....Hamsik always draws the eye, and they might give us some surprises in the next round... but this qualifying system needs, er, looking at...

Can't decide which game to watch at 8, jayne, but reckon Germany/Hungary might offer the most entertainment. Portugal need to get off to a strong start to put a bit of pressure on France. Probably watch Sweden/Poland at 5 though they hardly inspire...just don't know if I can be bothered watching Spain again.

The UEFA backing-down on the Rainbow-illumination of the Allianz is very disappointing, isn't it? Especially given the Hungarian Government's notorious attitudes and recent anti-LGBTQI legislation...

Now THAT would fire up my passions if we meet Hungary in the next round! Bring it on!

I guess tonight again, you just choose a match to watch, follow the live feed from the other and stay switched in case you need a quick swap!

Well, there's a thesis waiting for someone:

And another own goal? (Bryn should enjoy that one even more...)....

Spain appear to have woken up.

The whole theory of modern education is radically unsound. Fortunately in England, at any rate, education produces no effect whatsoever. If it did, it would prove a serious danger to the upper classes, and probably lead to acts of violence in Grosvenor Square."

Which one should we watch tonight? Or should we do something else instead?

Disappointed to see Lewandowski going out of the tournament - sadly even he and his four goals couldn't carry this Polish team out of the group stage. Croatia-Spain on Monday should be an interesting game.

... o, something else (anything else) is usually much to be recommended.

We're having a lovely salady supper out in the back yard. As teamsaint might say - yummm

Just heard on radio: six French fans travelled to Bucharest rather than Budapest ...

Terrific game in Munich, fast and open, wonderful atmosphere with a very noisy crowd....... stunning first goal for Hungary.... this going to be quite a night, as Germany are out if they lose....

Anther chance against the bar, and another just saved - wow - this is some match...! Football at its best!

Uh-oh.... just what we don't need.... Portugal ahead in Budapest...so France would finish second and then.... anyone but them, please...

Pulsating first half.... 1-1 in Budapest now, but you just have to keep track of both on a breathless night.... but Munich will probably bring even greater drama later on...so I'm sticking with Germany - Hungary, live webfeed on the other....

No Association Football for me tonight. The Andras Schiff late Beethoven masterclass has me in its grips. Magnificent insight for both pianist and non-pianist alike.
