Got last minute call to play a tennis league match - I'd said, only call me if desperate, they obviously were -
so I missed most of the match. Heard the Palace missed penalty from never-miss-Milivojević just as I got into the car to drive back from Great Bedwyn. Five Live said it had been a good first half. Sounds as if Saints deserved it in the end.

First half was entertaining enough, very open, but the quality of football was poor. The penalty was an easy save for Forster.
Palace looked a bit “ on the beach” to be fair. Not a very “ Hodgson” performance.

Ryan Bertrand leaving Saints in the summer. A massive disappointment, he is absolute quality. I sense some covid crisis cost cutting, and I doubt we will be the only ones.

Yes.... not sure of the detail here, but the UK Govt "refused to waive quarantine restrictions" for the UEFA Officials, various staff, media etc. I think they tried to thrash it out, but.... shame for the City and Chelsea fans, but at least the Porto weather should be nice...

In other times, Cat Lovers might prefer Istanbul, perhaps not right now....the poor Ferals are having a tough time over there... I have yet another stray myself... a little black guy, very velvety with those big un-neutered cheeks... eats every scrap he can find. (I'm turning the blind eye, feeding accidentally-on-purpose etc...I feel sorry for him but he fights with the others, so I can't really take him on...).

In such a troubled season, how sweet are the rare moments of joy..... so, so tense in the last 10 minutes, I couldn't keep still, hardly bearing to look when United attacked. I watched almost the whole match on my feet.

These last few games are going to be a whole string of Cup Finals. It could easily go down to the last Sunday...

The game so devastatingly known as "Cristanbul" ..... talk about sacrilege. It is funny though, I must admit..

But what is often forgotten is that the Sky Blues would still have won the 2014 title even if we'd beaten Palace, due to their vastly superior goal difference.
It was Liverpool's 0-2 home defeat to Chelsea that really did the damage.
All the Cityzens had to do after that was win their last five games, which they did, finishing two points clear.

Not that it could equal the last day of the 2012 Premiership. I wonder whether anything will ever match that one for sheer drama!

Too close to call - you could win all three and still miss out - on paper you have the easiest fixtures but beware of claret coloured banana skins!

Not a few Reds supporters might well feel that this season should be named for Jordan Pickford - remember that inexplicably unpunished crocking of Van Dijk - I know I keep mentioning it, but, honestly - just think what has happened to Klopp's team etc selection since?
AND Jordan Henderson's out or rest of season too........crikey.
