Two more games for the Buddies before the Scottish Premier League splits into top and bottom six. We're sitting sixth with Rangers and Hamilton waiting...one win will pretty much assure us of top 6 (unless we get a right doing from Rangers), and end any fears of relegation. Congrats to Perth's kid-on Saints on their League Cup victory yesterday at Hampden, beating Livingstone by the odd goal in one. Delighted for them and and their supporters...too bad they couldn't be there for their big day.

Indeed 8th but why on earth would he trade a position where he could be, despite a recent slump in form, managing Donny Rovers in the Championship for a club which seems so badly run from the top whose destiny is a probable double relegation?

....I didn't think the double relegation but I did think that Doncaster is decent attacking club with some Championship credentials....and that it would have been better for Moore to see the season out there....if the Owls were circa 15th say (and in the C that is by no means safe) I'd have seen the sense in it....but it is a suprise - yes...

My comments were made before I had seen he had been appointed. I revise my comments then - yes welcome on board the sinking ship - hope he has a good plug and the skills of houdini and a plan to gain the necessary 26 or so points to stay up!

Saints provided a perfect exhibition of how not to get anything from a game tonight . Concede a soft goal from a long ball down the middle, ( good finish tbf) and blow the very few chances you get.

Djenepo got a really nasty foul at the end, ( nothing given ) hope he is ok, as he is one of our few bright spots at the moment.

Sad to see the death announced of Ian St John, the Motherwell, Liverpool, Scotland and TV legend aged 82. He may be remembered for great goals and great games, but no doubt about his greatest partnership up front. They gave us a load of laughs. RIP Saint.

Prem relegation scenario is looking increasingly volatile. Sheff U will do well to escape and Baggies may well join them. I have the feeling Fulham may well get enough points. They were far better than Palace the other day and should have won it. Palace were so poor they were lucky to get nil. Getting four points from the last two games was a Houdini act of the first order and should be sufficient but fans will remain nervous to the end.

If not Fulham, who else? Of Burnley, Saints, Toon, Seagulls, on present showing Burnley have looked most at risk.

Fulham are playing quite well, but they have a horrible run coming up. However, if they keep it together they will likely take it to the wire, and if that is the case, the other teams will be the ones feeling the pressure. Saints have a big chance to get well clear over the next six games, with the exception of man city away, but that would depend on something actually going right, and us scoring a goal or two.
