    Well done Foxes, but....

I hope it won't seem churlish to say that we really did throw it away. Again. We gifted it to the opposition.

Another goalkeeper's nightmare for the second consecutive game (partly down to confusion with the new centre back on his debut) after which our defence just fell apart. Allison made a world class save just after the mistake (just to intensify the agony...), but the 3rd goal was another gift. Just like last week, the game turned on two glaring defensive errors.
Commentators like to emphasis the winners' qualities, but anyone who watched this saw the truth. We can still play, very well, but the defensive injuries and shuffling and shifting replacements have spread nervousness through the whole team, especially when things go against us. It doesn't even seem shocking anymore. One becomes resigned.

On top, scored a marvellous goal (see Firmino's footwork for that one...wow...) then threw it away in the last quarter.... sadly and tiresomely familiar.
I'd love Foxes to take a second premiership, but the leaders have a game in hand after today's intriguing tussle with Spurs. They do have a tougher sequence after today though, there may yet be hope for Brendan and his team.

Ah well! There is a Blackcap, a Siskin, a Nuthatch and a Great Spotted Woodpecker outside, and the snow flurry looks pretty.....so take a shrug, a sip of brandy and top up those feeders....

I doubt that many teams have won the top flight, or indeed any flight, with their central defence decimated .

Shame for Stockport, they would have been two handy extra points.
Good point for the Buddies today. The Hampshire Saints have a repeat of their forum derby against Wolves tomorrow at noon.

Palace upsettingly poor v Burnley so I'm avoiding MotD. League status probably safe but root and branch changes needed this summer.

Ball only stationary on the centre spot twice during today's game at Pittodrie - highlights did not show an exciting scoreless ninety minutes - dullsville! I suppose a point is better than none, but Aberdeen are there for the taking just now - dropped to seventh!

A very poor second half from Saints, and a good one from Wolves. Even so, two inconsistent penalty decisions ( the one that Wolves got given in particular) probably cost us what would have been a welcome point.
Disappointing after a good first half display, but we just aren’t good enough to overcome any kind of adversity just now. Chelsea, Leeds and Everton up next, after 6 defeats on the bounce

One each draw v Hamilton in Paisley last night - sign of the season that this was disappointing for the Buddies - unlucky not to take the three points - back into the top 6.

Owls defeat to Stoke on Tuesday neutralised by defeats for all sides in the sinking pack losing last night! Home sixpointer with Birmingham on Saturday important!

The National League will carry on for the remainder of the season but the North and South Divisions have been declared null and void.

We've certainly not heard the last of this

Do they not realise how important this is to the forum. The Hangers and County’s progress, or at times lack of it, are the key to the importance of the Round Ball thread.
