jc - These footballing powers that be haven’t got a clue - the land is in Lockdown aka Tier 3 and 4 and footballers are out there twice a week, with all the contact risks that includes and yet these disgusting rules are applied. Surely on any sensible health grounds the season should have been suspended!

I enjoy the game as much as the next bod, but I'm struggling to see why the season hasn't been suspended yet. Surely it's only a matter of time?

(Or maybe a case of "if football can keep going, so can the schools".)

Presumably because there is negligible direct pressure on the NHS from football, whereas , indirectly, schools are putting huge pressure on the system. Whether they should be open is another question, although some collateral damage seems to be ok, and other kinds not so much.

Bread and circuses is a powerful tool.

Sounds like a Bob Dylan song there, Edge. Good to see the Owls out of the relegation zone. Buddies salvaged a point with an own goal in the 92nd minute to rob Killie of the three points. Felt like a win...still 7th, but it's tightening up there in mid-table.

I'm sure they're not true - well, I hope they're not - but I've heard that rumours are starting to circulate that the English PFA has negotiated a special Covid/social responsibility exemption with Matt Hancock for top players...
Luckily for us over here, players in our domestic soccer league probably don't earn enough to organise a party!
