You'll be fine as long as Serbia don't file charges of penalty-rigging. I gather ROI did quite well last night, ending up in the silver medal position in their match.
I shall be 'glued to the box', as they say, from 7.00 this evening (different-shaped ball, of course).

We've got some good players in there, anton, but Stevie Clarke has really turned the team around and made them tough to beat. That's nine games unbeaten. I see we're in a group with the Czechs, Croatia and England for the finals.

Albert Quixall has died at the age of 87 - he was one of the first names I remember when I first took an interest in the Owls - as has been the case over the years our top players were snapped up by the big boys and he was sold post Munich by ManU. RIP Albert.

Sheffield Wednesday are saddened to learn of the passing of club legend Albert Quixall at the age of 87. Albert Quixall was born in Sheffield on 9 August 1933, representing Sheffield Boys in the early throes of his football career as a youngster.

Would not have happened under McLeish!

So now we've lost Gomez for most of the season; and Salah, Covid-positive, is self-isolating for the next fortnight at least...Fabinho might be back soon to partner Matip though and we certainly need it....OK Diogo & Shaq, here's your big opportunity....

STOP PRESS: Liverpool v Leicester has been rescheduled for 22/11 at 19:15, so it probably will be on TV - keep an eye out for where....

Struggling Championship side Sheffield Wednesday appoint former Stoke City boss Tony Pulis as their new manager.

It won't be pretty cloughie, but hopefully effective

Yes we need him to pile on the points and each player to know their role. Long term I don’t know but he’s a good fix for now.

I remember a pop group called the Searchers - or are you recollecting some embarrassing experiences at the airport?

Sorry to hear about the passing of that mighty fine goalkeeper, Ray Clemence. Mind you, up here he is always remembered for having been nutmeged by King Kenny on one of those few occasions when Scotland managed to overcome the Auld Enemy.*

                              * That's England, by the way.
