Another hardearned victory for us, another 0-1 to 2-1, ground out with grit, skill, tactics and sheer determination to the very end. Having to cope with all our defensive injuries is bringing the character out...
Do watch MotD for the sublime Jota 85th minute winner, soon after an earlier disallowed effort. Diogo's been a great success since his arrival, three Anfield goals in three games and shows the hunger, but just take look at the Shaqiri nutmeg pass that put him in.... as cute and classy as they come. Always admired the touch of Big Shaq, love to see him back in the team and doing well.

Remember that great little song by The Fortunes - ‘I see that look upon your face - you got your troubles I got mine!’
For a long time I’ve been giving Monk the benefit of the doubt - I really thought he could dig us out of the mire - not now I have every doubt - Your victors today have a manager for whom I have the greatest respect - his son would be a good fit for the Owls - or Paul Cook!

Commentary so much better than the radio 5 offerings lately.
Adam just exploded as Ingsy hits another thunderbolt !
Obviously the PPV would have been a waste of £15I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Good to see the tributes being paid to Nobby Stiles. He will always be remembered as the player who neutralised Eusebio on three occasions, but his international career fizzled out after the 1966 World Cup, being replaced by Alan Mullery in all but a handful of games.
I saw him play at Old Trafford many times in the late 1960s.

Another stunning scoreline, Saints up to dizzying heights...MotD progged in.........just noticed that scoundrel Pickford dropped for Everton today.....
Shame that James Rodriguez isn't there though, always worth watching...dull first half against the Toon..
Villa's last three home games: 7-2, 0-3, 3-4.....somehow it doesn't really surprise me.
The lesson seems to be, looking at our last few, "play it tight" - be well-organised & adaptable if you want to get anywhere this bizarre season....Last edited by jayne lee wilson; 01-11-20, 15:40.
