Very sharp competitive stuff at Ajax...bizarre goal.... but I still want to start an "anyone but Adrian" campaign... get nervous whenever the ball goes near him, and I think our defence does too.......Last edited by jayne lee wilson; 21-10-20, 20:25.

Please Jurgen, please.....
I notice back-up keeper Andy Lonergan has been let go.

I am not the biggest Rangers' Fan in the world, but even I had to love this effort by Kemar Roofe on Thursday evening...made it, scored it!

A trip down to my currently adopted club Blackfield and Langley today ( come on you greens!) to watch them take in Arlesford in a Wessex League fixture. B and L are hanging on to the coat tails of a four club breakaway group after having had to rebuild the team after a mass exodus of players to AFC Totton in the summer.
The absolutely foul weather, gusty winds and lots of very wet rain, relented for most of the first half. B and L , ( possibly smarting at a league cup exit at the hands of Andover Town in the week, )play a lot of attractive and incisive football, and they should have had more to show for their first half dominance than a single goal lead, rather gifted by an understandable defensive slip on a very damp pitch .
The home side really turned up the heat after the break ( a big and very welcome mug of Nescafe for £1 for me) and effectively sealed the points with a stunning 25 yard drive to the keepers right from left back Connall Morrison, an ex AFC Bournemouth academy player.a league player would have been proud of it. Nice to see his that his professional training hasn’t been wasted. His run to the corner and knee slide in front of the photographer was top drawer. Two more smart finishes from good moves wrapped up a fine win for the hosts, and Arlesford finished well beaten. They stuck manfully to their task though in a really horrible second half downpour, as the oil refinery towers disappeared into the late afternoon murk, for which they deserve credit.
Some excellent entertainment with good skill and plenty of commitment from both sides to brighten up grim autumn day. Plus me and my mate had a good natter, and pretty much put the world to rights. Whats not to like?
AFC Stoneham next up at home in a fortnight.Last edited by teamsaint; 24-10-20, 18:29.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
