I agree with the general sentiment, but think in this case it's possibly a little harsh to aim it at the footballer concerned, as he was apparently unaware of the planned party - so it may be that the arrogance and/or stupidity lay elsewhere amongst his socially unaware friends or family.

He's still grossly overpaid though.

He's still grossly overpaid though.

It transpires that he had 2 of his team mates with him - wouldn't it be against the rules if they went into the house with him? The attitude of these people beggars belief, and people are fully entitled to be angry. He - or his agent - probably had a pre-prepared statement ready for use when/if he got caught.

Currently you can mix with five other people from five other households indoors. Which is illogical given the other restrictions, but he and two team mates would be fine to meet at his house, sorry mansion.

I’m saving my ire for the people trashing / selling off the health service, planning apparently never- ending lockdowns ( including the local ones that don’t seem to work) , failing to run the country properly, putting together the disastrous ” moonshots” , government depts unsble to use the correct version of excel etc etc etc.

Perhaps Mr Abraham can't count beyond 6, and therefore had no reason to suppose that the surprise party might cause problems. Unfortunately, the government's gross incompetence and mixed messaging encourages these people to believe that they can flout the rules with impunity.

And .....Fans of PL teams, you can rate your transfer window here. ( Though we can still buy from EFL clubs, not sure if we can still raid clubs like the Buddies ).

Saints fans generally happy with a solid if not spectacular window. A couple of duds gone, and some hopefully useful looking additions, with the prodigal son returning from Everton.
Opinions are mixed on Theo, but most of the brighter fans see it as a good deal, for a very talented footballler.
