Both Toon and Saints from opposite ends of the country have now leapfrogged Palace, who gifted Foxes three goals through crass errors yesterday. Two weeks ago Europe was being mentioned now the yo-yo is in its downward phase. At least we can't go down.

Europa league is a mixed blessing at best, and with not much prospect of actually attending a game in the early stages, could well be one to avoid. Saints have plenty of opportunity to put more points on the board against BHA, bompey and Sheff Utd. But its a funny old game.......

....really enjoyable game....glad Adams scored {he was fab mostly at Birmingham]....Spurs lad was spirited {and such a thin boyish frame}....Think Mcity could have scored quite easily if they that not gone for central goal mouth scamble method....fab' to see resolute defending , just as enjoyable as forward striking....there will be a few sore shins today, they took a few really heavy WALLOPS....yeah, Euro League throws off the 'plans', poison chalice....well done saints

Well, I'm certainly hoping it's quashed. It seems their misdemeanour is trivial compared with Real Madrid's of PSG's.

....I don't know what you mean really ed.....he was a giraffe of a man, and did very well to pull those large levers around with some grace....I imagine he had big feet too....there he was in the heart of Leeds defense at the clubs rise to prominence....they talk about certain contemporary defenders not being resolute and communicating/organising....well i bet there was plenty of all 3 whileJack was about....

A tall tough No 5 is a great asset at the heart of any defence. Steve Bould and Mike England also come to mind.
