My Word.... from the Bayern masterclass at Chelsea, the Soccer Opera at the Bernabeu, to the astounding drama at The Emirates tonight....
No apologies for my addiction to European Football... God Knows what I'm going to do with my evenings next week...

Not so much the score as how we're playing - or at least defending............ still time for a Crystanbul....
never stop fighting till the fight is done..

Well done Watford, who were like Hornets in possession but especially out of it. Closed us down incredibly well.
We looked tired, scarcely like scoring one let alone three. You'll see a very different team for the Chelsea tie (we haven't been the same since the Winter break), but it is all about Atletico now....and Hendo may not be fit. We missed Joe Gomez too, and there was no action man Milner to bring on either....
So now we are a bit sad...down for a few days..... but it had to happen some time....!
Well done Hornets again - you deserved it, you were great.

Och, well! The Cup's just a distraction, after all, is it not? Aberdeen scored early on another stormy night in Buddyville and then shut the shop and the Saints couldnae find the door, never mind the key. However, on a day of coupon busters on both sides of the border, I thought we might finish the day off, but not to be.

Palace would seem to be more or less safe with a welcome (and rare) 3 points gained down at local rivals, Brighton, though bitter experience makes us fans cautious to the end. We have tickets for the Watford game next week. Just when the Hornets seem to have got a vein of form. Might be an entertaining and feisty affair.
